BradP loves him some money!

I'm currently preparing two articles on BradP, but as a warmup, here's something I don't know whether I should laugh or cry about: His latest offering called "Millionaire Makeover". The price is a modest $100k. Surely, that's not exactly chump change. The reader who sent me that info commented, "$100k...what a joke!!", and I am sure if you have a sane bone left in your body, you'll agree.

But, hey, for that amount of money you'll receive some great stuff, like:

Lifestyle Streamlining
Positivity training

Wow. Where do I sign up for that?

The kicker was the description:

When you complete this process, you can expect to be fully transformed. Your game, your appearance, your presence, and your lifestyle will be drawing women in at all times. Brad will also make sure that you are attracting a specific kind of woman, the kind of woman you have always wanted. You will learn how to leverage your wealth effectively, without allowing women into your life who are self-interested, manipulative, or negative.

But let's be honest here, if you are wealthy, then wealth will always be a factor for the women you are with, no matter what they say. Golddiggers will try to reel you in before they make demands, or do you honestly think they approach you with, "Sweety, do you want to by me an apartment in the Latin Quarter in Paris?"

If you want to leverage that amount of money effectively, you are probably better off spending two weeks in LA or Vegas and booking a different porn star every day. One hour with the star of your choice sets you back $1,000 to $1,500 and, as I have been told, you can get them cheaper if you make the effort of emailing them privately.

Now, I am not a big advocate of paying for sex, but if you are so desperate, and wealthy enough, to seriously consider shelling out $100k for a "boot camp" that doesn't even guarantee sex, then there are better options. Of course, there is always the hope that the person organizing the boot camp will shell out a few hundred dollars and plant a hooker in the club, to make sure the rich client gets something for his money in return.

However, in real life, a rich guy should have no problem having women throwing themselves at them. It's all a matter of comparative wealth anyway. The same way Joe Average and his brother Jim Ugly can get laid like rockstars in Cuba, Costa Rica, Thailand, or the Philippines, a wealthy guy will have no problems getting laid in the more exclusive places on this planet. As long as he flaunts a bit of his money, he'll be golden. Heck, I have seen plenty of not exactly handsome older men with beautiful women on their sides, and the fact that those dudes were driving Lamborghini Gallardos or owning yachts surely had nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.

No shit, Sherlock! Of course, with the exception of non-verbal pickups, you have to start a conversation or at least be able to sustain one if you want to get anywhere. However it is far from being the "secret" that gets you laid. What's next, telling guys that they have to tie their shoes if they want to get their dick wet? If I wanted to be a smart-ass I would now waffle on about the difference between a necessary and a sufficient condition, but it's easy enough to see what the problem is --- except if you are Vin DiCarlo's Internet lackey who has to come up with those nonsensical newsletters.

However, let's talk about a more serious issue here: loneliness. Yeah, I know, we are all afraid of dying alone and being found half-rotten six weeks later because the neighbors start to wonder about the nasty smell coming from our apartment --- and then the whole world will know how despicable we were, and how pathetic.

But let's be real here: loneliness is a feeling and has nothing to do whether you actually are alone or not. You may even have heard of expression such as "the lonely crowd", and while you may not have been familiar with the landmark sociological study I just linked to, you surely know the feeling of sitting with a group of friends or acquaintances and being emotionally distant --- because something else concerns you, and you know you can't share it with the people around you because they won't understand. (Maybe it's as simple as wanting to talk about "common sense" when in a group of PUAs. It just won't work.)

It is obvious that the seduction industry targets the fears of men who feel socially rejected or otherwise unworthy because they lack a woman in their life. But, frankly, had they been with a lot of women, they would know that this will not necessarily change their state of mind. In fact, some of your loneliest moments can be when you are waking up next to a woman you have no desire for anymore. This is a not so uncommon occurrence if you are going through a string of one-night stands and operate solely based on your horniness. Once you've gotten your rocks off, your motivation of having that woman around will drop to zero. For obvious reasons, no "PUA" will ever tell you this because they either barely get laid and thus don't know about this, or because they are afraid that sharing this bit of information would repel potential customers as it destroys the illusion they have created.

If you think my last paragraph was overly misogynistic, then please consider how you use porn. Of course, an argument can be made that directors like Jules Jordan have added an hitherto unknown esthetical component to the genre, and there is much to be said if favour of that position. But, frankly, there is usually a reason why you watch a porn clip instead of some art house film. And how do you do it? Well, you may even have some favourite stars, so you check out random websites and think, "Mmm, Blown By Sativa Rose & Lela Star surely sounds tempting." Thus, you play the video, do your thing, and once you've blown your load --- you are probably not going to finish watching the scene, or are you? Instead, you are much more likely to smile and think, "Now there is no need for that anymore." And as shocking as it may sound, the very same can happen if you go through a lot of women and mainly use them for sexual gratification. Also, if there are any femi-nazis reading this: sexually active women are no different from men in this regard, so keep your misandrist whining to yourself, bitches!

Of course, not everyone wants to bang a lot of girls (because they are brainwashed with pc-nonsense) and want to settle down with "that particular girl", no matter what she looks like, instead. But what do you think how this will be? Yes, you will be less "alone", but this doesn't mean you won't feel lonely anymore. If loneliness was an issue for you before you've entered the relationship, it may very well remain an issue in the relationship. Or do you honestly believe that just one woman on this planet will be able to relate to anything you say? Of course, there will be many areas where she would have absolutely nothing to contribute because it is outside the scope of her interests.

Lastly, as an excurse, I'd like to add that the fact that you will be less alone in a relationship can have grave consequences, too, because if you are a man with serious interests, whatever they may be, you may soon find that suddenly things aren't going so well anymore. Heck, you may even wonder what happened to all your spare time. Maybe you'll even start think that you are not as sharp anymore. But why, oh why, could this be the case?

Of course, if you've got no ambition and no interests whatsoever, then you may as well just marry some random chick (and get taken to the cleaners in your divorce five years later), but if this is not the case, which I assume simply because I attract a smart readership judging from the emails I get, then please read an important study by Satoshi Kanazawa, who is now teaching at the London School of Economics. It is called "Why productivity fades with age: The crime–genius connection" But guess what the main issue of fading productivity in marriage is:

Crime and genius share something else in common: Marriage depresses both. (...) [E]xpressions of genius among scientists who never married do not decline sharply. Half as many (50.0%) unmarried scientists make their greatest contributions in their late 50s as they do in their late 20s. The corresponding percentage among the married scientists is 4.2%.

It makes you think, doesn't it?

So, the next time you feel lonely, just devote yourself to your interests, and you'll notice that those feelings will quickly dissipate.

Student of BradP dates widespread bikini girl image!

Whenever you think that the people in the seduction industry have hit a new low, such as BradP with his "two IT guys", it doesn't take much until you realize that this was just the beginning. So, to use one of RSD's Tyler Durden's favourite metaphors, "Let's venture deeper down the rabbit hole."

While it was fishy enough that BradP used an image that was spread on other websites, as my first source pointed out, another reader was quick to direct me to Google Images, a picture search engine. He was kind enough to create a permanent link as well. Now, please take some minutes and click on that link. The results will really blow your mind!

Hold your breath --- because we get 720 results for that image!

But don't worry, you have seen nothing yet. You can in fact scroll through pages full of the exact same image (apart from differences in resolution). As that reader pointed out, "She's quite a popular girlfriend!" Yes, indeed.

The very first entries Google records date back to 2007. Here's, for instance, a thread on the Rotten Tomatoes forum from August 2007, where a guy claims that the image was "Some random girl someone randomly posted on eBaums." And in 2011 some random PUA who claims to be the "#1 rated PUA in the world" pulls some shady marketing out of his a** and uses that very same picture! Someone clearly thinks his potential customers are utter morons.

Lastly, for the mathematically challenged among the PUAs, I want to point out that 2011 minus 2007 equals f*cking four years, and now tell me who in their right mind would send you a four year old picture of their girl?

The only question I have for BradP, though, is whether the girl was a "surgeon" back then already, or whether she has finished her training after that picture was taken. :P

How to Score Chicks with A.S.S.

Recently I was told about a series of videos that constitutes the in my opinion best parody of the pickup community I have come across so far (Thanks for the links, Jameson!). Nothing against OGFurious, who is amazing too, but what "Mr Ho 2000"/Phil Choi has produced is of a quality that even blows the "six figure production value" of Real Social Dynamics out of the water. The last comparison was of course not meant to be serious.

Not only does Mr Ho 2000 understand the amateurish design language in this industry perfectly: 

...he has also mastered the language, hyping, and how to switch the "emotional hot buttons" of insecure men. In the first video, Mr Ho 2000 describes the problems of Asian men that can't compete with white men anymore:

The next video is quite amazing. It is a shockingly (sur-)real reenactment of a seminar. If you think I'm kidding, go to one of those "free" RSD speeches, if they still offer them, or watch any seminar recording. A few times I got invited to attend "lectures" free of charge, and it was every bit as cringe-worthy as the following video. The opening speech seems highly inspired by Mr. M from Love Systems:

The lame jokes are commonplace too, but Phil Choi tells them with a much better intonation than any professional "guru". As a last comment, let me add that the motivational exercises are actually even worse in real life. This is not exaggerated at all. Some guys have you jump up and down, hug the other guys in the room and shout "My game is a ten!" and other nonsense.

By the way, the "seduction" at 1:35 is much closer to reality than it might seem.

It doesn't have to be pointed out, but I feel like it: in terms of presentation and "delivery" this guy blows every guru out of the water. Remember that clown Tyler from RSD? Good, because I like when people agree with me.

In part II of the video, you can witness the guys practicing "on a real woman". If you think this is absurd, you should watch Mystery's show "The Pickup Artist", where the acolytes do this. Also, Gambler's company PUATraining has the same shtick. In my not so humble opinion, you must be pretty thick if you think that you can learn something from running a scripted routine on a girl that got paid to listen to your drivel, you are beyond help:

The use of pepper spray in the last scene was probably a bit over the top, but I did hear of stories (confirmed by very trustworthy sources) of people getting arrested by the police during day game sessions (because the "PUAs" were thought to be pickpockets), or people getting slapped and beaten up. Some of Badboy's students could elaborate on that.

You stay classy, Real Social Dynamics!

While certainly not as entertaining as watching The Legend of Ron Burgundy, there is at nonetheless some entertainment value in browsing the website of Real Social Dynamics.

After posting The Marketing Syndicate and the Business Cycle of the Seduction Industry, Part I, one of my facebook friends commented on the note, informing me about a recent book release of Real Social Dynamics. The title in question is called "Physical Game Book", written by their instructor Ozzie, and available for the hefty price of $29.95. While far from the amounts required to purchase DVD sets, it's still far above what you'd usually expect to pay for books.

But what's wrong with trying to sell a book, you might ask.

Nothing, would it not be the case that they use "forced continuity", which is one of the shadiest marketing techniques in the scammy corners of the Internet, which is where the Seduction industry usually gathers. Forced continuity means that you click to buy a cheap front-end product and during one of the check-out phases, the software automatically adds a subscription based service which you have to opt out. It's shady and misleading, and it is laudable that companies such as VISA and Mastercard have started to go after companies that employ "free trials" and forced continuity programmes.

But, on to RSD and what is called by Mastercard a "negative option enrollment", meaning that you have to opt-out, otherwise you will be billed. RSD apparently didn't get the news and I hope they'll get their just rewards sooner rather than later.

On their sales page, the book is $29.95, and they speak of free bonuses:

You might ask yourself, "Gosh, what's wrong with the sum here?"

I did so too, then I looked up and saw this:

Random Notes on “The Syndicate”

My previous two posts were mostly discussing parallels between the seduction industry and the Internet marketing industry. If you are so inclined, please also check out some of the blog comments of the original article over at Salty Droid. There are many interesting comments to be found, especially due to the overlap of those two industries.

At the time of writing this, Salty Droid’s "The Internet Marketing Syndicate" had 591 comments. I have skimmed those and you may want to, if you have an interest in learning how those scammers operate, since some more techniques get exposed there. Unsurprisingly, there are further parallels to the way the seduction industry works, and there is plenty of “gold” in it. Also, if you dig around deeper at this site, you will find hilarious posts such as one by Ross Jeffries (!), calling out Internet marketer Ryan Geiss because that guy’s product “didn’t work”. I wonder whether Ryan Geiss is bitching somewhere else on the Internet that Ross Jeffries products didn’t help him either.

Furthermore, some days after the publication of the original article, Salty Droid released a “best of” of the comments, and this article has now attracted 135 more comments itself.

The Fishermen Realization

A user on my forum who goes by the name of feeltheburn wrote a most insightful post with the title “The Fishermen Realization”, which deals with one of the core issues of “pickup”, which is also the least addressed one since it undermines the justification for the existence of this shady industry. You won’t find many people openly talking about it, because you couldn’t sell a “bootcamp” if you told this to people. But enough with building expectations and wetting your appetite to read this most insightful thread!

Here’s a quote from the post to set the scene. All of you can probably relate to it.

So a PUA comes back from a night out and writes a FR. You read about him going out spotting the girl across the room, moving in, surrendering to the vibe, the build up of sexual tension, about magical eye contact that charms the girl like a spell and the grand finale of him butt fucking her in her apartment.

And what actually happened was he went in a venue got blown out with 5-10 girls either directly by the girl rejecting them or indirectly via 'feeling the ground' (by hovering near her, forcing eye contact, touching them, dancing in her direction/near her etc. ) and then stumbles upon a girl that doesn’t reject him and they hook up.

I couldn’t agree more.

However, because the proponents of the seduction industry, due to their obvious financial interests, have to claim that “anyone can succeed with girls” --- but not just regular girls, you can get actresses, supermodels and strippers, too. They are all yours for the taking if you just learn some inane "routines" and dress like a harlequin!

Unlike the previous caricature, which sadly is a reality if you look at the sales pitches of Love Systems et al., a much more realistic perspective is that it’s simply the girls who are doing the choosing, which leaves us with exactly two possible outcomes:

1. She likes you --- and therefore it doesn’t matter what you say and do
2. She doesn’t like you --- and therefore it doesn’t matter what you say and do

There is of course a third category, the “grey zone girls”, as I call them in my free ebook “Debunking the Seduction Community”, where you can f*ck things up because the girl is only somewhat interested, but at the same time not disinterested enough in you to tell you to take a hike. This is indeed the only area where “game” plays a minor role, but it’s less important than you might think because the girl will quickly decide whether 1) or 2) is the case. Speaking from my own life and adventures, the instances where I had to actively “game” a girl for a long time were rather rare if not almost unheard of. As a side note, a prime case was the girl I wrote about in the chapter “Against considerable Resistance” in my paperback book Sleazy Stories.

But let’s not stray too far from feeltheburn’s post "The Fishermen Realization". Here’s another quote from him:

At this point of the game I really think that its all about looking good and approaching.

This is probably the most succinct summary of what it takes to get girls I have ever come across. If you are not approaching, you will have a hard time getting laid, no matter how good looking you are. Girls will hardly ever do all the work for you. Of course this doesn’t mean that all hope is lost if you are not good looking. Also, consider the fact that you are probably a lot better looking than you think you are. (And if not, then stop eating fast food and start exercising.)

Surely, companies such as Mystery Method, Love Systems, PUA Training, Real Social Dynamics rather have you shelling out thousands for dubious “in-field training” instead of telling it like it is, which would then save you a ton of money and wasted effort. Skipping the misguided and confusing theories of 99% of pickup companies and dating coaches --- to me they are nothing but a source for entertainment --- would allow you to focus on drastically improving your odds by working on what really counts.

Good looking guys who approach a lot get laid. Bad looking guys who go approach a lot get laid but less and by girls who are less hot. As far as cold approaching is concerned, the only people that do improve are the good looking ones that read the articles and just start to approach women. The only reason they didn't get laid is because they didn't make themselves available to pussy and thats it, no magic and fairy dust and pixies, just hard cold reality. The good looking ones get regularly laid by hot girls in a year or two after being exposed to the community, the bad looking ones won't get laid regularly by them in 200+ years.

I am also starting to believe that for every good “field report” there are 129847 ones that could be written about the same person getting destroyed (rejected) by a girl and that (as long as “approach anxiety” is taken care of) seduction is a numbers game and doesn't really have any room for improvement in that regard.

I had a very similar insight some time ago, which led me to write my article “Good Good Sets vs Bad Good Sets”, because it struck me that writing field reports, while helpful when you are starting out and have some fundamental issues to fix, are pretty much rubbish once you’ve gotten a handful (or two) of girls or so.

This is the reasoning behind this drastic statement: Sometimes you have a “great interaction”, but the girl would not fuck you even if you were the only guy around, simply because there is virtually zero sexual interest from her side. However, seemingly competent guys, blind to this fact, all too often happily write up the stories of their encounters and ask, “But how could I have gotten her?”

Those reports are sometimes really painful to read, because they could be dealt with quickly by saying, “Never in your life.” Those are the “bad good sets”, which seem to trip so many guys up. On the other hand, the “good good sets” are where there was simply a logistical issue that prevented you from getting laid. Some possible reasons are: there was an attendant in the bathroom, it was cold outside, and you’ve had to work the next day. Or maybe you’ve pissed off her friend… In any case, in those instances it is possible to point out what the problem was. In the other case it’s not.

Apart from that, it’s essentially nothing but bullshit and mental masturbation.

Making Money Online vs Pulling Girls

The seduction industry is relatively small. Someone recently said, if it were a house, it would be a shack in the woods with neither electricity nor running water. However, this industry is very similar to the "making money online" industry, which is just as fraudulent. Its beyond the scope of my blog to cover the latter in any detail, though. However, Salty Droid, one of the blogs I follow in this area recently posted some interesting (and elegant, as my mathematics teacher would say) graphics.

My View on PUAHate.com

A number of people recently asked me why I was promoting PUAHate.com so much. First of all, I don’t think this site is without its flaws. There are way too many trolls on there and even serious discussions regularly get hi-jacked. However, you quickly learn to disregard useless contributions and can focus on the good stuff.

The unique value of this site lies, IMO, in its openness. It is the only bigger forum where you can freely speak your mind about the seduction community. Of course, some people are taking it too far, and sadly a great many of them seem to be rather immature and/or unable to use proper English. Arguing with those people is about as productive as teaching dolphins how to climb trees. The worst aspect of this site, though, is that some people only “hate” the community because they are unwilling to admit their own failures at life. Frankly, someone who hadn’t gotten laid in over a year has no business bashing anything, and sadly those are sometimes the most vocal people on this site.

However, despite all those shortcomings I have found a lot of gems on PUAHate and met a few very critical and intelligent people. I am glad this website exists, and I am thankful for all the “lulz” it provides.

Get out while you can

I gave a talk in Chicago last week. The crowd was pretty excited and I met a number of very interesting people. Among the topics we've discussed was the role of pickup and seduction in your life. One guy in the audience commented:

Isn't it somewhat ironic that you are now in a relationship, after acquiring all those skills?

I don't think it is.

There is a time for everything in life. I think it is rather sad to see people age, while their behavior doesn't change. This is especially true for people within the community, no matter whether they ever got the level of success they were dreaming about or not. I also recently read an interesting thread on PUAHate in which the user Jakal makes the following statement regarding Ross Jeffries, one of the pioneers of this industry:

People still buy his stuff, but if any of you see him today, he's a gray haired, washed up stubbled face jew who is just miserable and lonely in his studio Marina Del Ray apartment.   

I think there is nothing more miserable than a fifty or sixty year old player. It's like forty year old guys walking around in sports clothes (a rather common sight in the States). This is excusable for a fourteen year old. Or think of club girls with wrinkled faces, wearing their daughter's clothes. Life either drags us down, or we accept that we have to grow up as we grow older and change or roles accordingly.

While discussing some related ideas in my upcoming ebook, my friend Corley sent me an article by Toecutter, once a prominent poster on mASF. (The article in question was from a private lounge, though.) Here is an excerpt:

Take a reality check at your lives, fellas. Turn off the bullshit for a second, and examine your own relationships with women. How is it going? Is the community fucking you up? If so, QUIT! Like now. Quit the fucking thing. Get on with your life. Because how would you feel if you could fast forward to 10 years later, and it is still the same as today? 10 years fucking fly, man! You will be 10 years older before you know it. Would you be happy to be still chasing tail and getting the same results that you are getting at the moment?

In fact, "chasing tail" is certainly entertaining, but sooner or later there will be the point where it becomes repetitive. I had such an experience less than a year ago when I was out in Berlin at Berghain, once my favorite clubs (but it has completely gone down a cliff). I was seeing three girls simultaneously, and another girl was dancing in front of me, trying to get my attention. As I was about to make a move, I thought to myself, "Why do you even bother with this? All you have to do is pick up the phone if you want to get laid." At this point I realised what could almost be called the idiocy of pickup.

Once the thrill of the chase is gone and you've seen enough and done it all (and I have certainly seen and experienced what most men only know from porn movies), it really becomes boring. Sure, some guys are obsessed with increasing their "lay count" above everything else, but if you play the game this way, you can never "win". Or do you want to feel like Sisyphos?
